November 21, 2014
It snowed…… excessively.
The wind blew….. viciously.
The roads are terrible.
It’s NINE degrees this morning. In November?
Wherefore art thou….garage?
…..and so go my negative thoughts, spiraling downward, gaining more and more momentum with
each beautiful snowflake.
Beautiful? I do not see that. That word is out of place in my dreary mind.
But my camera pulls me toward it- urging me to see the white world through younger eyes.
Younger eyes don’t sit and ponder the meaning of an unusually early blizzard. They charge out into the swirling
furry with delighted glee expecting joy, and thus joy is what they find.
Here are two young prairie folks helping a stuffed puppy slide down a snow covered hill. It’s great to
be stuffed in a blizzard, for the cold does not penetrate. That snow puppy happily played for hours
without one complaint.
Later while the unstuffed ones sipped steaming mugs of hot cocoa, the stuffed one cozily slept on the heat vent.
He was exhausted!
Speaking of stuffed…
’tis the turkey season.
A time to ponder ‘thankful’ and to gather with friends and family.
If I stop for a few moments and deeply contemplate that which I am thankful for, I am overwhelmed by my
many blessings, and life becomes…….
beautiful!
I can no longer see dreary. My momentum has shifted, spiraling upward.
My wish for you this Thanksgiving is younger- eyed vision.
May your blessings be vivid, and your dreariness be unseen.
In thanks, I appreciate your visit, and in giving, I give you this post.
Wonderful words and photos …

Gorgeous sunrise shot. I would LOVE a calendar. Does pixel.com do calendars?

Great idea! I will need a year of photos to capture each season. Look for that next year. Thanks for visiting.
