Nothing over here.
I have a few gifts bought……. but nothing wrapped.
The tree is up……. but not decorated.
I am making a few handmade gifts……. although, not yet completed.
The cards…… woops! I almost forgot about those.
Every year I make a few dozen cookies….. the butter is still in the cow.
So what did I do yesterday? I gardened.
I LOVE gardening!
Now is the time to drop everything and go get your spring bulbs.
Yes, you can.
Gardening centers like to clean house in December and practically give
away their bulbs- five and ten cents a piece! I felt like a kid in a candy store.
Yesterday, I planted over a hundred bulbs in view of my kitchen window.
I can’t wait to wash dishes this spring! It’s going to be really good.
Thanks to my neighbor, it took me less than an hour. He taught me to use
a crowbar. It works like a charm. If the ground is hard, I give it a few
taps with a hammer and presto perfect hole!
I have conquered the brown drab out my window, for now I see only
rainbow dreams- golden daffodils, pastel hyacinths, and easter egg crocuses.
And now back to Christmas dreams…
amidst all of the hustle and bustle, joy swirls around.
for
it,
and
when
you
spot
it-
catch it,
and don’t let go.
What a fabulous post! Love the idea of using the crowbar – very clever. Your spring flowers will be beautiful. Wonderful pics 🙂
