Creating for children has always been my passion. It’s something I did in the wee hours of the night while others were snoring-
something I did at the end of a long day after my important duties were done. Always, I have craved that time.
Many years have passed, and I have achieved some success. My handmade marionettes and handwritten plays are popular. I have
performed at the library, daycares, churches, and birthday parties. This has happened in spurts as my daily routine often
interferes.
When I heard the phrase, ‘Do what you love, the rest will come’, it changed me. Could it be true? I wondered.
Slowly, it dawned on me that my yearning for creative time was my gift calling out to me- something that should be moved from
the end of my day to the beginning of my day.
At the mere thought of this, chills ran through me. Thus, my attempt to become published. Perhaps, I will
not succeed, but in the mere trying I am finally a square peg in a square hole!
And how does it feel?
Indescribably
wonderful!
Do
what
you
love.
It sounds like you’re on your way. If those are your handmade marionettes, you have a wonderful creative talent.

I needed to read these words today. I’m glad, and think there was a reason, I didn’t get this blog read until tonight.
