Summer’s ending, Autumn’s pending.
Porch chair rocking, sipping brew.
Last year’s promise,
this year’s beauty.
Seed heads blooming, rainbow hue.
Zinnia nectar luring, calling.
Flitter, flutter, wings bewitched.
Pretty petals, beauty flaring.
Rocking, rocking, life enriched.
Summers hummers, zipping, dipping
Tasting nectar with a sip.
Ruby-throated wonder zooming,
Getting ready, lengthy trip.
Slowly, slowly summer leaving.
Breezes blowing Autumn in.
Golden splendor round the corner.
Turning, changing, planet spin.
Rocking, rocking, life enriched.
Peace
to
you
from
the
prairie.
How beautiful!

Thanks Julie. This year I planted 2 types of zinnias– giant and small frilly ones. It’s the small frilly ones that draw in the visitors.
